it actually goes deep into the world, into the crowd To help,
to be with sentient beings
This is number one
And another one is like we said before,
it’s it vows to help others, to help sentient being in every way they
They need help from, and also, it is a selfless help It does not put,
it does not have a notion of self
In this process of helping, so there’s no self helping others,
just help

每个人都自己扛着一个铲子,
带着一个桶子没有人召集他们,
然后每一个人下车的都是在光互乡

大家都是自动自发的想要去尽一点心力,
这就是菩萨

他们没有要得到什么,
没有为什么,
反正我觉得我该去做的,
能帮到一点,
我能能能能能能付出,
能能做的我就去做了这就是人间佛教,
这就是大圣精神,
这就是我们汉传佛教最核心的修行他们虽然说没有学佛法或禅法,
可是他们就是在行菩萨道我们学了佛教,
学了佛法,学了禅法之后最终就是要这样子去实践

there was a very serious natural disaster

their homes destroyed
And recently, I’ve seen on the news that manyindividuals in Taiwan,

They went on the train, bought their own rain boots,
their own equipment
They are going to Hualian to help those who are suffering from the disaster right now
And this is a good example of the spirit of the Bodhisattva
You, we go and help without thinking what we’re gaining from this
We go and help with a selflessness Without without any kind of without any kind of thoughts of repayment
So, when we practice Buddhism, eventually, that’s what we need to do,
is to go into the ordinary life, the world,
and help those who are in need Selflessly

菩萨他的修行只为别人而努力虽然说我们修行的目标是明心见性开悟菩萨自己没有开悟,
他会愿意去成就别人开悟,
去帮助别人开悟,
去帮助别人解脱不是说等自己成就了之后,
我有什么能力了,
成佛了,到了什么境界,
我才去做不是的,
就在这个过程当中就开始去做了,
这就是菩萨精神所以各位,
不管你学佛教、佛法、禅法的基础如何都可以开始去帮助别人,
这就是修行,
这就是行菩萨道,
这就是大圣精神

The way of the bodhisattva, the spirit of the bodhisattva is that
We go and help others, even even before helping ourselves
Like, even though the ultimate purpose of our practice is to Directly experience and see our true nature,
and so called enlightenment
However, even before we’re enlightened ourselves, we put others first
We help other to achieve enlightenment first
We help others in need first, and disregard of our own Goal,
we put others in priority
This is the spirit of the Mahayana tradition,
the spirit of the Bodhisatta

This moment, and that can help us to avoid being taken over by thoughts

的时候,我们我们应该是放在这个这个马帕加那帕拉米塔的 meaning 还是说我们去感受我们在 reciting 这样一个词,
这样一个 word 的时候,
在我们内心里面的一个感受,
我抓不太到那个重点,
还是说其实我们在 reciting 这个马帕加那摩里帕拉米塔的时候,

same as we are reciting amitabha buddha
,就是那个 practice 那我想要请问老师,
这样的一个 practice 它的重点是放在 这个 awareness ,
的时候,我们 我们应该是放在这个这个马帕加那帕拉米塔的 meaning 还是说我们去感受 我们在 reciting 这样一个词,

开展出来的参禅、参话头、

非常的叫做这个容易受力,
所以这个方法就被忽略了

不念而念这就是洗进去了,

我们发赖,或者你跟你的好朋友联系,
对不对你一定要跟他对接上,
互相加了,加了之后你要发讯号,
他才收得到我们念佛号就好像发讯号给阿弥陀佛一样,

你要来我的极乐世界,
好,过来这样的,
,是这样子借他的力,
外力,我们叫外力

So, in the reciting Ami Tofu, Buddha’s name,
that method of practice is borrowing an externalPower
So it’s kind of like sending a line or making a phone call over and over you know like hey hey
I I reserve me a spot in you know
西方极乐世界
or the The western kingdom
Yeah so in the reciting the buddha’s name that particular practice is kind of like asking for help Asking someone outside to help us in our practice,
and take us to a place where we can practice more deeply

我们禅宗的修行法门,
是靠自力我们的自心本性与佛无二无别禅宗的修行法门就根据这个教理这是释迦摩尼佛所说的,
我们与他无二无别我们所有的修行就是要把我们与佛无二无别的这个自心本性佛性,
把它流露出来,
把它牵引出来,
这是我们的修行方式,
这是自力

So in Chan practice, the focus is not on an external sorts of help
But power within The buddha said that we all have buddha nature,
meaning we are not different from him
So the Chan method of practice is seeking to foster and develop and bring out
That part of us which is the same as the Buddha

马普拉加那普拉米达,
它的意义意思,
就是广大无边的大智慧能把我们带到就近的彼岸,
他的这个咒语的意义是这样的,
能过去那这股力量我们就有,
我们借由这个讯号传回自己,
呼唤出我们藏在里面不知道的那个那个佛性,
我们打讯号给它,
让它出来,这是这句咒语的意义是这个样子

So the meaning of this mantra is infinite boundless wisdom that can bring us to the other shore
And, but in this case, in in this practice,
we are calling ourselves, calling, sending the message deep within,
to that part of us, which is just like the Buddha,
andInviting it, encouraging it, fostering it to come out

我们不断不断地呼唤呼唤我们自己就好像我们在叫自己的名字一样,
你就不断地不断地被唤醒,
不会再沉睡下去透过马,
马普拉加纳普拉米达,
把这个内在本来就具足的佛性,
把它唤醒出来

In this way, it’s kind of like Repeatedly calling ourselves,
waking ourselves up Hey, hey, hey, Buddha nature,
wake up, wake up, wake up, and calling our Buddha nature forth in this way

我们禅宗的修法其实很简单,
就是这样子唤醒我们的自心本性包括参禅,
参话头,也是在对内的一种呼唤包括智慧观照或默照,
那个也是对自己的一种相应让我们流露出与佛无二无别的就是智慧跟慈悲,
这是我们禅宗的特有的修法,
就是向内的,
是自自己本质具足的

So, all the different methods of Chan practice we mentioned today,
they all share a common path of calling within and inviting
That part of us which is the same as the Buddha,
to flower, to come forth

禅宗的修法很简单,
它就是我们叫做相应,
清净心相应我们的佛性这样子那怎么样相应,
就是不断地向内,
investigate或者是不断地
aware what it is
全神贯注的这股力量,
,把把把这个佛性,
把它牵引出来修,
我们的修行的过程就是这样子而已所以为什么会顿悟我们禅宗是顿悟法门,
就哪一天,,
讯号被你对上了,
被你接通了,
那就是一刹那之间就顿悟为什么会动因为我本来就是,
本来就有,突然间被我找到了我那个箱子,
哇,被我撬开了,
一打开,哇,
潘多拉的箱子一打开了,
我那个宝原来就在这里这个就叫做顿悟因为因为我们本来就具足,
这就是禅宗的修行法门
So Chan practice is actually very simple it simply
那怎么样相应,
investigate 或者是不断地
全神贯注的 因为因为我们本来就具足,

Diving deeper with complete focus, seeking to connect with that part of ourselves that’s just like the Buddha
And that’s why in Chan, there’s what’s called sudden awakening
And it’s just like if you’ve been trying and trying and trying to unlock a box,
and then suddenly, oh, you got it
Or you’ve been trying and trying to connect a current or a wire,
and then all of a sudden you got it

So 所以禅宗讲明心见性,
见性成佛见性就成佛,
因为本来这个性就是佛性呐,
所以叫做顿悟
So in China
这个过程我们是必须付出努力的,
因为那个潘多拉的盒子很难打开,
封得死死的,
紧紧的,这个虽然说是顿悟,
可是要很努力的才能打得开的 So 所以禅宗讲明心见性,
见性成佛
因为那个潘多拉的盒子很难打开

So, even though Chan talks about sudden unlocking The box is very very difficult,
and there’s lots of lots of locks you can say,
so we do need to try very hard,
and and work and practice diligently in order to Unlock it in that moment

Silence Illumination
那我们在,假设我今天好,
我用只管打坐,
just sitting
那种方式,那也许我坐着坐着我就累了,
或者是我的心性落下来了,
那我就用这个刚刚,
因为如果说
的话应该是不止这句这句可以用,
对不对如果在练习这样的一个法门来讲,
还是说其实我也不要去想什么,
反正就是如果我真的我心性弱了,
我就换一个氛围,
给自己换一个氛围的时候,
我就用 chanting 这个马帕拉米马帕加那帕拉米塔的这个这个 chanting 来自我鼓励好了这样是不是一个就是你刚刚所提到的,

的一个必要的步骤 我想请问,

I Vipassana Vipassana
那,因为止跟观的话,
的时候,有时候是把它

所以我们禅宗的法门有参禅,
有智慧关照,
有持持咒,有这三招这三招是我们千年传承下来的没错,
为什么会三招不是一招因为人的状态没有办法一直保持在这么巅峰,
心力没有办法一直这么强,
所以参禅智慧关照,
参禅智慧关照可以互换的参禅的时候要很强的力量去参它,
可是会累,没力了,
没力就智慧关照,
换挡然后智慧关照,
它会很容易沉下去昏睡了,
昏迷,或落入在那个那个昏,
那个那个什么,
黑山,鬼窟里面,
就到无际里去,
很容易又掉进去所以参禅再回来,
一直保持着他的那股力量,
这样的他祖师禅本来就是这两股力量在,
像是那个什么螺旋一样,
DNA 那个螺旋一样,
所以它强有力,
为什么能开悟就是它强有力,
一直支撑着你这么强大的一股力量,
去探究到那个真理本来就是一体的当然后来就发展成两个方法,
默照跟话头那本来祖师禅那时候是一体的,
所以很强大所以为什么在唐宋时期的时候在唐朝的时候根本没有画头,
根本没有墨造,
可是高深大德,
祖师几乎就集中在没有默照,
没有话头的时候,
因为就是参禅跟智慧观照交互并用然后,
还有另外一个支撑,
就是再不行,
那就马普拉加纳普拉米达,
直接呼唤,再让我们有一个后盾或者让我们有一个喘气,
停歇再走它它本来就是一体的,
因为后来分成两个,
我们只能说两个互用,
它本来就是一体的

那个参话头,
我们又叫做观话,
观话头,你有听过吗看话头啦,
又叫做看话头参话头,
看话头,对不对为什么叫看看就是观的意思,
观什么话头就是念头,
念头就是心,
就是关心就是莫扎理解吗他从另外一个面向去切入,
叫做观话头

它还是属于直观阶段,
因为直观的训练只是让我们自己不不受外境影响,
重点在这边就是一直看什么就是什么,
听到什么就是什么,
不要太多的想象或是联想这个是我感觉,
这是直观的训训练那我们这个您刚把这个
